HI Egomon
With my limited knowledge I would say that's a National Semiconductor module that takes 357 batteries - as you probably
disovered.
Cheers

Whilst in the hour setting mode, press the button for the second zone - it will start to advance OR you will have to hold down the button at 1 oclock as well, get it to advance. The second time zone cannot have different minutes form the main time. Play with it a bit more...the made a few variations but I suspect you missed the subtlety of setting it, since it starts off at the same time as the main time, giving an appearance that pushing the second button had no effect. _________________ "Watches are like love, hard to get all the compatible pieces together in one place."~E.C.
